Once settled in, you will begin your five-day Orientation program with other TEFL certified teachers from around the world. This is a great time to explore Budapest with your fellow interns!

 

The program includes a detailed Teacher’s Workshop, practice classes over the course of which you will get some real hands-on experience and survival language classes. History and culture classes are also included in the orientation. Our program alumni will also be there to answer any questions you might have and provide you with a wealth of useful information on traveling and teaching in the country. To make sure orientation is not all work, an introduction of host country cuisine and visits to local attractions are also offered as a part of the program.

 

Each of our teachers is assigned a dedicated contact person on the school staff, making sure all of their needs are met. They would also help you apply for a SIM card, bank account, and all the other details that make life easier. After Orientation week completion, you will get started on your paid job placement in one of our partner schools in the country. You will teach 26 classroom hours per week, leaving you with ample time to explore this beautiful country and the neighboring region. Teachers receive a salary of $1200 USD tax-free! With accommodations and health insurance all covered, as well as very reasonable local prices, this salary is more than enough to have a great time while you are teaching in Hungary.

Besides completing a 120 Hour TEFL, you will receive a letter of recommendation outlining the training you have received, and the teaching experience you have accumulated. This will go a long way when applying for future teaching positions anywhere in the world! Many of our graduates choose to either extend their stay in Hungary for another year or longer, or apply for another one of our programs or free job placement assistance.
