Start training with a one month onsite TEFL course. Your classmates will be other TEFL interns from around the world. Soak in the country, the culture, the school system, the language, and the vibes. After completing training, start a guaranteed paid EFL position in the heart of Buenos Aires. Hone your TEFL skills, and significantly enhance your resume with this valuable experience. Accommodations are not included in the price of the internship however we can help arrange suitable, nearby accommodations in either a shared apartment or homestay. These accommodations are safe, comfortable and regularly vetted by staff members. We’ll book and arrange everything for you so all you have to do when you land is take a cab right to your new home!
Once settled in, you will begin your intensive 130 hour TEFL course. The course will run for a month and covers everything you need to know to successfully run an EFL classroom along with a 20 hour practicum.
In addition, 10 hours per week of professional, in-person Spanish lessons are included. This will ensure you have an easier time communicating with locals, and gaining daily independence.
Students will be awarded an accredited 130 hour TEFL certificate upon successful course completion.
At the end of the course, our placement team will help you find an online teaching position. You will be teaching business English to native Spanish speakers living in South America.
You will teach for approximately 20-30 hours per week, leaving you plenty of time to plan and reflect on your lessons, as well as work on improving your TEFL skills and abilities. This also leaves lots of free time to have some fun exploring Argentina!
Non-degree holders can expect to make a minimum of 46,000 Pesos ($500 USD) per month and teachers with a bachelor’s degree can expect around 64,500 Pesos ($700 USD) per month.
Teachers looking to make some extra money can teach a few extra hours a week online for an international employer.
Besides getting your 130 Hour TEFL certification, you will gain valuable teaching experience through the program. This will go a long way when applying for future teaching positions anywhere in the world. Many of our graduates choose to travel throughout Latin America, while some decide to stay on in Argentina and pick up a new TEFL position independently!

- applicants must be between 18 and 65 years old
- native English speaker or satisfy the English language requirements as follows: IELTS 6.5 (academic format) with no grade/band below 6 or TOEFL paper-based 580 + TWE 4.0 or TOEFL computer-based 240 with essay 4.0 or TOEFL iBT 94 (Listening 20, Reading 23, Speaking 23, Writing 24)

ARGENTINA TEFL INTERNSHIP FAQS
A degree is not needed to TEFL in Buenos Aires.
Our Argentina TEFL program does not have a passport requirement, but you must have the ability to enter Argentina on a tourist visa.
Standard job placements are 6 months in length.
Accommodations are not included in the Argentina TEFL program. We offer furnished accommodations near our campus for approximately $500 per month, and will assist in finding and securing suitable accommodations should you wish to stay elsewhere.
A medical check is required for our TEFL Argentina Internship. Applicants should be in good physical and mental health.
The majority of English teaching jobs in Argentina are in Buenos Aires. With the decline of the peso, a lot of the work will be online as well in order to provide a better rate of pay.
The TEFL training program in Buenos Aires offers a comprehensive 4-week course that includes 120 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of practical teaching experience. The curriculum covers grammar, teaching methodologies, classroom management, and lesson planning.
TEFL Schools in Argentina hire throughout the year except for major holidays like Christmas and Easter.

Non-natives with a neutral accent and a good command of English are eligible to apply for our Argentina TEFL internship. An IELTS score of 6.5 (academic format) would be the equivalent minimum level of proficiency expected.
TEFL teachers in Argentina can expect to earn around $500 to $700 USD per month. It helps with expenses, but would not be sustainable without some savings or other income source in the long run.
Yes, friends and couples are welcome to apply to TEFL in Argentina together.
We recommend having at least US $2,000 to bring with you to cover rent, personal costs and having a safety buffer before you receive your initial salary payment.

A pet would not be suitable for the Argentina TEFL internship.
Knowing Spanish is not necessary, but learning a few phrases and words will make you a hit with the locals. In addition to TEFL training, each week you will attend 10 hours of professional, in-person Spanish classes to ensure you are well prepared for the basics.
English teaching in Argentina will mainly be at private language training centres. They cover a range of student ages and goals. Other classes may be as a corporate trainer, where you teach English to groups of business people in their work setting.
Airport pickup is not included.
Applicants to the TEFL Argentina Internship must have the ability to secure a tourist visa to the country.
